So, the Rumanian Dances (1917) of Béla Bartók, the Dances of Galanta (1933) of Zoltán Kodály, in a first-time performance of the arrangement by Federico Jusid; and the unusual and youthful Old Hungarian Ballroom Dances (1949) by György Ligeti will be heard along with the Andalusian airs of El amor brujo (1915-1917) by Manuel de Falla, the pronouncedly rhythmic tendencies of Ernesto Halffter in his Serenata a Dulcinea (1944) and his Habanera from Dos piezas cubanas, written in 1931.
