On the occasion of the documentary exhibition Cards on the Table. The memory of Nunca Máis and the stacked political cards in Space D of the Library and Documentation Center of the Museo Reina Sofía, its curators Xosé Carlos Hidalgo, German Labrador Méndez and Daniel López Abel reflect in this video on card games as a complex device, with a popular matrix, in which leisure, protest, humor and design intersect. At the same time, starting from the edition O Ghaiteiro Petroleiro [The Oil Piper, 2022], an artistic deck produced by the cultural association Unha Gran Burla and which satirically combines the memory of the Nunca Máis movement and the Galician popular imagination, they establish links with the sinking of the oil tanker Prestige (2002) off the Galician coast and the citizen response that denounced the poor management of that crisis.
