The point of departure of this show on Leonor Serrano Rivas (Málaga, 1986) is the time — the mid-sixteenth century, with Giovanni Battista della Porta — in which scientific method, magic and philosophy shared an array of terms and interests. Thus, Magia natural (Natural Magic) revolves around three spaces inside the Museo where instruments and devices from ancient natural magic put forward a new reality with its own logic and rules. In short, a new cosmos which sets out a constant dialogue of practices and spatial temporalities and an illusionist mechanism located inside the body — or eye — of the beholder.
