Deimantas Narkevicius

The Unanimous Life

Lithuanian artist Deimantas Narkevicius has primarily explored and developed film and video in his career, before eventually approaching sculpture. His work constitutes research into how to perceive history and the mechanisms that transform it based on different utopias and ideologies. With nostalgic and ironic reverberations, The Unanimous Life tells of the trajectory of a young Lithuanian sculptor born in 1964 and analyses, along with other essays in the catalogue, the diminished role of the individual in utopian processes activated in the last century.
