René Daniëls

This publication contributes to observe this singular artist’s oeuvre from a new perspective. It comprises two parts. The first is a series of images presenting the works in chronological order, in addition to illustrations showing the process of creation and expositive history of his work, as well as Daniëls’ personal history. The second part offers a compilation of previously published texts yielding the floor to the artist through three interviews in 1983, followed by an essay from 1995 by Dominic van den Boogerd about the double entendre of Daniëls’ pictorial image, in addition to three unpublished essays.
